As a stage director, Dr. Huang has collaborated with Music On Site, Inc. (MOSI)—a nonprofit organization committed to bringing high-caliber opera performances to communities across Kansas and beyond. In MOSI’s 2024 production of Gian Carlo Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors, Dr. Huang served as Assistant Director, lending her expertise to the staging concept, character development, and coordination of the creative and technical teams.

Throughout the production process, Dr. Huang assisted with scheduling rehearsals, gathering and organizing props and costumes, helping build costumes and sets, and calling cues for both rehearsals and performances. Under her co-direction, Amahl and the Night Visitors toured multiple cities across Kansas, allowing audiences from various communities to experience this cherished one-act opera. Dr. Huang’s commitment to artistic collaboration and her supportive leadership style helped further MOSI’s mission of sharing vibrant, accessible opera that enriches and unites diverse audiences.
